A most traumatic experience...at least to me...

As the title suggests, today was really a close shave. I have not encountered this since that time at Bishan. (Even so, I doubt whether it actually happened at that time as I was too young to comprehend whether it was of that nature.)

After mugging with Ai Ping today, I headed for g12. As I was a tad early today(reached Bedok at 7.30pm), I decided to do as I usually would if I was early: wait for time to pass at the bus-stop opposite St.Anthony's Canossian School before slowly making my way to Yireng's place.(Just to help you understand the situation better, the area where the incident took place is very isolated and quiet at night)

After what seemed like 10 minutes, this middle-aged guy (I think) was heading toward my direction. I thought he would just bypass the bus stop and be on his way but he actually shuffled his way slowly until he was about 2 feet away from me. Everything up to this point seemed normal UNTIL he stared at me in a funny way. To make things worse, he sat next to me on the bus-stop seat and started leaning his elbow on the space that separates us on the seat.

You can imagine how I feel at this point of time. I mean, it may seem trivial as I'm telling you this but things would be different when you actually were in my position. Moving on, I was really frightened to the max but I did not display it outwardly (imagine if I did!).

I casually stood up and made my way towards Yireng's place, hoping and praying that my worse fears would not solidify. So, I walked as fast as I could, the sound of my thumping heartbeat reverberating my inner being with every step I took. (oops, too much literature but it's true ok!)

Intuitively, I was conscious of an unknown presence following me so I turned around to look and I got a shock cos this cyclist from nowhere was just behind me! So,I sorta jumped(see how paranoid I was...). Anyways,I was quite relieved after that but not for long cos my worse fears came true after all: I heard the distinctive shuffling of feet a few yards behind me! I did turn around again just to confirm the source and it was Mr.Stalker!

This time I really freaked out. Walked as fast as my legs could carry me to the lift lobby and prayed the lifts would not be at the higher floors. Saw someone boarding the lift at ground level and relied fully on God this time. Upon reaching the lift lobby, Mr.Stalker was nowhere to be seen cos I really waked very fast. No one was there with me,only the wind and the still night air.(haha)

Then, my saving grace appeared:Pastor Alan. I was super happy to see him man! It was really that bad ok....argh! Shared this to the g12 that night and made them paranoid too...hahaha...

Anyways, I've learnt my lesson the hard way.Trust in the Lord. Otherwise, stick to the main road.
