too much to be said...

OK...I better make this quick.Time seems to be passing like nobody's business...

Post-Choir Dinner date!

Shuyun and Violet are really funny man! hahaha...our new "la pi xiao xin" imitator!

Junwei's gig
In the end, it was only Charlene,Justin and me who could go. Wanted to mug with Charlene after the gig but forfeited the idea in the end. Met Tiffany, Charlene's best friend before heading to ITE Dover West which is on the other side of the world...imagine,20 stops of the Green Line (MRT).

Anyway, reached there in time. Junwei's band was the opening band and I have to say he's good.hahaha! But there were other good acts as well. (Aerohead and Anna judge April) The female vocalist for the latter band was real good man....I got goosebumps.
Justin brought his friend and Cheryl (Junwei's OGM) and her classmates came too.

After that, dinner at NewYorkNewYork with Junwei,Charlene,Justin and Cheryl. Super full but it was nice especially the orange candy floss...

we took loads of that!

By the time I reached home, it was 11 plus...knocked out after that...

Chinese New Year at Wei Lin's House

Headed straight there after church...ended up waiting ages for Aunty Zhiyi...Weilin's lift is one of a kind. They have a big, flat screen monitor at the lift lobby which will show you what is happening in the lift so,no hanky panky!

Actually, we wanted to watch a movie and play board games but we ended up playing Scrabble and chatting until 7 plus! It was good..in fact, better than expected cos everyone was just having a good time, getting to know each other better...although it would be nice if all the altos showed up but it was good.

beautiful sunset from the 23rd level

timeout

A Match
If love were what the rose is,
And I were like the leaf,
Our lives would grow together
In sad or singing weather,
Blown fields or flowerful closes,
Green pleasure or grey grief;
If love were what the rose is,
And I were like the leaf.
If I were what the words are,
And love were like the tune,
With double sound and single
Delight our lips would mingle,
With kisses glad as birds are
That get sweet vain at noon;
If I were what the words are
And love were like the tune.
If you were life,my darling,
And I your love were death,
We'd shine and snow together
Ere march made sweet the weather
With daffodil and starling
And hours of fruitful breath;
If I were life,my darling,
And I your love were death.
If I were thrall to sorrow,
and I were page to joy,
We'd play for lives and seasons
With loving looks and treasons
And tears of night and morrow
And laughs of maid and boy;
If I were thrall to sorrow,
And I were page to joy.
If I were April's lady,
And I were lord in May,
We'd throw with leaves for hours
And draw for days with flowers,
Till day like night were shady
And night were bright like day;
And I were lord in May.
If I were queen of pleasure,
And I were king of pain,
We'd hunt down love together,
Pluck out his flying feather,
And teach his feet a measure,
And find his month a rein;
If you were queen of pleasure,
And I were king of pain.

Pictures!

My Grandpa the star. He was invited to give a talk for secondary schools as part of their learning journey to Chinatown and he was quite happy cos the students treated him like....erm...a star! hahaha! They even asked him for autographs and had a phototaking session. Upon seeing the photos, my brother and I came up with captions to fit the mood...muahahaha!

"the star in action"

"even the wife is given VIP treatment!"

" I can't believe it! Up close and personal with my idol!"

"busy amidst the sea of autograph books"

"fans from all walks of life"

You gotta hear this caption by the Blob: "The life of a star" (notice the girl's face!)

Actually this photo was chosen due to the powerpoint slide at the background which says:"Let's Welcome Uncle Mun (my grandpa)"

OK,now for Chinese New Year celebrations in school:

during the concert

Rachel!

:D

Chinese New Year 2007 was not that fantastic:the usual routine of visiting family and the occasional friend's house. Seems like everyone can't be bothered with visiting anymore. Nevertheless,I'm not complaining for the extra timeout from school even though it's too short a break.

Out with Fan Cuiwen today was good. It gave me another lease of life besides the one that I'm living in now:our familiar, mundane life that revolves around school. Treated her at Pastamania as her birthday's next week.

Well, we had a nice talk and of course, any conversation with Fan Cuiwen will not be normal if there weren't any long periods of uncontrollable laughter! This time was no exception. Reminds me of the KL Netball trip in Malaysia in which she sang to some song by the boyband "Blue" without knowing that Ai Ping and I were recording her at the back! HAHAHA!!! She decided to make a comeback today...hahaha...

Next stop: Swensen's. Sticky Chewy Chocolate still rules the roost!

Picture says it all...

Pineapple tart no.1

Pineapple tart no.2

Revenge of the outrageous Ong Lai

Talked and talked from 1 plus to 5! But it was entirely worth it...realised that St.Hilda's has undergone many changes with regards to people and many others...

Did many stupid things along the way (as usual!).We (actually it's mostly Cuiwen!) embarrassed ourselves when we wanted to descend from the 3rd level to the 2nd of Century Square and taking the escalator in the wrong direction! (we were THAT close!) hmm, doesn't seem funny now but it was,at that moment. "Context,is all"

she tried to perform an eye-check (...)

Anyway, it was good to catch up with her man! Thanks Cuiwen for your bookmark and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! =)

On a Valentine High...

HEH HEH!!! I'M BACK! WOO~

Well, I tried to post an entry last night but stupid Blogger took a long time to direct me to the "New Post" page! Anyways, I'm so glad I can finally blog...been waiting to do this cos 14th Feb was a good day-even "good" is an understatement!

For the record, I felt absolutely, super, duper guilty for not doing anything for Valentine's Day: making cards or small gifts for friends...cos I thought that it wouldn't be that celebrated in school...

I was so wrong.

Upon reaching school, I was flooded with chocolates and sweets from Olivia...and after that she took advantage of my guilt and gave me more to make me feel worse! Anyways, almost everyone in school was distracted. Ms Lee complained about the J1s and their stupid pickup lines ("What's in your eye? The sparkle.") and there were many flowers of all shapes and sizes, real, fake, withered, the works...

But really, I feel so appreciated and touched by all the gestures of love..hahaha! And so, since I can't reciprocate much now, the least I could do is to acknowledge the people who made my day, even though some of them (Well, most actually) may not even be reading this.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO:

Olivia for the sweets, chocolates and the cute mini-bottle (and also for the extra tinge of guilt...)

Jillian for the handmade flower

Cuiwen for the Turkish Delight and the card (plus the most reliable and elusive delivery service ever!)

Charlene for the Chocolates

Samantha for your card and Chocolates

Geraldine for the Chocolates

Lizard for the Toblerone

Hanisah for the Dove Chocolate (you're so sweet!)

Sufriena for the nicely-wrapped Ferrero Rocher and Dove Chocolate

Steph Chung for the Chocolate

Mimi for the Candle and Rose

Charlie Brown and Duc for the Rose (after going through so much pains to get it!)

Vivian for the Candle

Marie-anne for the Chocolates

Shannon for the jigsaw puzzle (it really encouraged me a lot! And I'm really honoured!)

Sochenda for the letter and the Dove Chocolate

Henry for the self-baked cookie (not bad!)

Luke for the letter and sweet

Weilin for the Chocolate and Cookies (thanks a lot! a lot of effort!)

and also the people who wished: Zhiyi, Ai Ping, Isebelle,Maggie,Annie,Valerie,Hanh,Hui Jun,Xavier,Ben Sum,Ms Ho...and many more...

And not forgetting those people I forget in the process, just in case....thank you!

As my guilt was so immense, I just had to state out what each person gave so as to give them more recognition and to show them how grateful I am cos I really didn't expect these =)

The chocolates could sustain me for a month!

Today was really good man...hahaha...I just can't describe how I felt. It's like already JC life is starting to become such a bore everyday and this really made me feel better, even though I know that I shouldn't be relying on people to make me feel good all the time cos there's Him (as in God...) But sometimes, when certain people say things they don't usually say, you light up immediately like how Joanne, of all people, complimented me on my hair (OK! Cheap thrill but still...you know...) :P

Favian made Mr Sahlan happy too by giving him a rose ( and a seaweed, I think!). Oh ya! I have to say this! Today was the first time I actually chewed on a rosebud (Yes, a raw one...) and guess who taught me that? Ben Sum! Hahahaha! He was randomly plucking a petal from one of his flowers and he shocked Evatte and me when he suddenly put it in his mouth! Subsequently he offered a petal to us and I was the only one who felt like puking. (Evatte chewed it as if it were potato chips!)

Practice was cancelled, much to some people's delight, due to poor attendance and so I had an early day.

The excitement's not over yet.

At night, the family and I whipped up a storm in the kitchen for The Blob's birthday (Ok! I'll be nice! The Animal's birthday :P) As The Cow requested for a home-cooked Western Meal, my mum gave the go-ahead! (Finally! After how many years of non-Western Food-dinners! heh heh!) He personally cooked the steaks and the scrambled eggs (my sis is a great fan of his scrambled eggs!) whilst I did the Calamari rings and the soup and mum and sis did the miscellaneous.
Don't ask me where Dad was.

And the result?

makes your mouth water,ain't it?

Maib was so proud of how she set the dining table

Can't wait to have a taste...

The Blob in action

He started eating straightaway!

I told him to take a photo with Mum and he was acting coy. (Just imagine! heh heh!) But finally, after much hardship and struggles, he gave in.

Just look at him,a never-before-displayed side of him..heh heh! See the vulnerable way he holds mum's hand and just look at his face!
But after that, he was back to his old ways when I wanted to take a photo with him.

struggling to stop him from eating

But apart from that, we all enjoyed ourselves and he even held a decent conversation with us! How I wished everyday was his birthday man!

happy! shalala~
